October 25, 2021 – Cary, NC – CBC, a leading manufacturer of intelligent security systems and the parent company of the Ganz brand, announced today the release of the UL-classified (Class I, Div 1, Groups C,D / Class II, Div 1, Groups E, F, and G) HEX Series of Explosion-Proof enclosures. The HEX Series are classified for compact equipment within indoor- and outdoor-hazardous locations (HazLoc) and are ideal for locations where flammable vapors, gases, or dust may exist.

"This explosion-proof enclosure is ideal for hazardous environments where wiring and electrical equipment are housed," according to Takeshi Fujita, COO of CBC AMERICA, "It's engineered to prevent combustion of housed electronics from igniting the surrounding flammable atmosphere and is the only housing of its kind with UL classification."

The BEX Series provides operators a secure location to house equipment in hazardous and flammable environments. The unit minimizes any possibilities of electrical wiring and equipment, becoming a source of ignition in volatile places and is ideal for petroleum refineries, chemical plants, oil tankers, offshore platforms, industrial processes, food-manufacturing facilities, gas pipelines, grain storage centers, and more.

The housings are available in three (3) sizes ranging from 4-inch to 6.6-inch diameters. They are classified as an enclosure for use in Hazardous Locations (HazLoc). The units are IP66 rated, suitable for outdoor operation, and include cable-entry ports and a generic mounting platform sized to accept various camera and lens combinations. The HEX housings can be attached to a variety of fixed mounts or a pan/tilt base.

The HEX enclosures are Made in the USA (Mebane, North Carolina) and have received UL/cUL classification (Class I, Div 1, Groups C,D and Class II, Div 1, Groups E, F, and G). Customization and quantity discounts are available. Contact us, or go to ganzsecurity.com/ex-proof to learn more.
