Halo IoT Smart Sensor

CORTROL's integration with Halo Smart Sensors (Vape Detection, Chemical Detection, Air Quality Monitoring, Sound Detection).

#8/30 Top Technology Innovations of 2022: Read Article Here.

Halo Smart Sensor integrates with CORTROL Video Management Software (VMS) to provide Vape Detection, Chemical Detection, Air Quality Monitoring, Sound Detection, and more to provide real-time situational awareness.

Initially intended for schools to combat vaping and school shootings, HALO IoT Smart Sensor has expanded across industries. The HALO detects environmental changes that occur in privacy concern areas. As a device on the network, it will send alerts to security personnel.

With HALO, designated personnel will be alerted when environmental changes occur in typically unsupervised areas. For example, HALO can detect flammables, hazardous chemicals, air quality changes such
as vaping and smoking, and changes in temperature and humidity. HALO can also detect fluctuations in noise and send alerts when unusual activity occurs. HALO will also analyze room occupancy through light detection. In addition, HALO includes a built-in tamper detection alert.  Utilizing the latest intelligent technology, HALO adds a layer of security in places not covered by traditional surveillance cameras.

With HALO, security staff can now monitor areas where cameras are unavailable. Staff can get these alerts through the web or traditional burglar, video management systems, access control, or building management tools.

Energy Conservation and CORTROL VMS Integration

Beginning in 2025 (with 2024 data), The Climate Mobilization Act (aka Local Law 97 ) will require buildings over 25,000 square in New York City to record and provide their annual energy data (including greenhouse gas emissions) and water consumption. NYC will conduct building emissions assessments annually, and they will be required to reduce their carbon emissions by 40% by 2030 and 80% by 2050. Building owners that aren't in compliance will be fined $268 per metric ton if their carbon footprint exceeds the limit annually. Learn more about the Climate Mobilization Act here.

Halo's Smart Sensor Technology can detect poor air quality, carbon dioxide, and nitrous oxide and help determine building emissions. In addition, it can provide actionable intelligence to Ganz CORTROL VMS which initiates pre-programmed mitigation or corrective actions.

HALO'S Rules and Actions can achieve a wide array of scenarios. For example, the HALO IoT sensor may reveal that AC constantly runs in an empty conference room long after everyone has left. An event report sent to CORTROL VMS triggers data-driven decisions completed by the intelligent VMS event and action manager.
