PATENTED AS OF JULY 2022 (see Our Patent for more info)
Emergency events in the education industry occur far too often, and emergency response time is critical.
Ganz D2PDTM powered by Go2Blu® is an Emergency Communications Technology for Active Shooter/Armed Intruder incidents. Utilizing the Internet of Things (IoT), D2PD alerts vital staff in a School/Facility and Police 911 Dispatcher, Mobile Patrol Vehicles, and connected desktops in 1/4 of one second.
Using Duress Buttons and Software as a Service (SaaS) Desktop applications, D2PD makes up to 10 Teachers, Administrators, and employees virtual Safety and Security Officers. D2PD integrates with Building Public Address (PA), Access Control (automatically initiates lock-down or lockout), Video Management Systems, Digital Signage, IPTV, and Active Shooter Prisms. It triggers a Police Response while simultaneously establishing 2-way communication to assist in the tactical response.
Alyssa’s Law addresses the issue of law enforcement response time when a life-threatening emergency occurs. The law calls for installing warning lights and a panic alarm to provide the fastest possible support during a code red. In a code red, every second counts. Alyssa’s Law has been passed in New Jersey, and a version of this bill in Florida. Petitions have been started to ensure Alyssa's Law gets passed at the national level.
Alyssa’s Law was named after 14-year-old Alyssa Alhadeff, who lost her life in the Stoneman Douglas School shooting. Investigation of the tragedy found that the contributing factor to life loss was insufficient response time. The Law would require all public elementary and secondary schools to install either silent panic alarms or alternative emergency mechanisms approved by The Department of Education.

Our Patent: The U.S. Patent Office has issued a Patent on the GO2BLU NEW EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM that leverages IoT (Internet of Things) technology, the speed by which it communicates directly with Police Departments (1/4 of 1 second), and the ability to integrate and automate with multiple life safety systems.
A school must be equipped with a single (1) duress button to comply with Alyssa's law in New Jersey. When activated, it triggers a digital dialer to transmit a pre-recorded message to a non-911 phone line at the police department. Once the phone is answered, a pre-recorded message is delivered, then shared with police 911 dispatch. 911 Dispatch validates and then broadcasts the emergency to all police personnel. This solution is limited in the mandate for only a single duress button and is also time-intensive in relaying a message versus going directly to all parties. Also, it does not establish a live 2-way chat and cannot integrate with other building systems, as illustrated in the 1st image below.
D2PD allows everyone in a school or campus to be instantly aware of a reported threat location. This awareness enables intelligent and life-saving decisions. Simultaneously, direct responders are alerted to assist in Tactical Response.
D2PD can utilize any computing platform, 900 MHz wireless transmitters, and our network application in tandem or singularly.
D2PD reaches into the classroom. It makes every teacher a virtual School Resource Officer (SRO) and supports public space detection layers. These added layers can include wireless shot detection and advanced weapons detection. So you have three possible coverage layers, all tied to a 300-millisecond emergency communications engine.
Since 2013, Go2Blu has been providing Education (K-12, Colleges, and Universities), Healthcare (Hospitals, Healthcare, and Assisted Living Facilities), Government (Cities and Utilities), and Corporate Real Estate Markets with our state-of-the-art, Emergency Notification and Communication System. In addition, through our 900 MHz Radio platform or our IoT, SaaS solution, Go 2 Blu provides notification to local Law Enforcement in less than 1 second, allowing for the quickest response time available, mitigating the potential of loss of life.
